Today's Findings

I've was perusing this site, http://www.ontarioabandonedplaces.com morning, for a few minutes, looking for places close by to check out. I only checked otu about three or four places so no luck yet, but it looks pretty cool, I knew about the Whitby psychiatric place already and a few other places, none of which I've actually checked out though. I've got to get on that.

I also found http://www.lingua-franca-nova.net/lfnintroeng.html which is apparently a language you are supposed to be able to learn in half an hour, I'm sure that's exagerated, but it looks simple enough. I never really enjoyed taking French in school, but somehow always did better in those classes then in English. Maybe I was just never meant to live in Canada, I'm horrible at using its language, and I may as well be allergic to winter. Who knows.

Sunrise, Sunset

This is pretty cool, the transition at about 7:23 is a bit rough, but it is still interesting none the less.

I'm posting that more because I want to watch the videos later, but I'm sure some of you will think this is cool.

What book are you?

You're Prufrock and Other Observations!

by T.S. Eliot

Though you are very short and often overshadowed, your voice is poetic
and lyrical. Dark and brooding, you see the world as a hopeless effort of people trying
to impress other people. Though you make reference to almost everything, you've really
heard enough about Michelangelo. You measure out your life with coffee spoons.

Road Bike

I've been wating a bike like this, or this for a while now, I may just email them. I don't really know anything about road biking, or if it requires special pedals/shoes, but I think it would be something cool to get into. That way I still get to be on two wheels, I don't have to buy gas, I can still get around town, and I wouldn't be as lazy. I'm still keeping the motorcycle though, don't think this is a downgrade, haha.

Link Day

I declare today to be link day, because I am bored, so everybody go post links of whatever you find to be even slightly entertaining today.

Bike For Sale make sure you read the description.

What's your name again?

I know some people who may appreciate this. The Starbucks Challenge. I think this would be a lot of fun to try, but there's not near as many Starbucks in Toronto as there are in Manhatten.

I know I've shown Sam some of this guys work, mostly just the paper cut out stuff, but there's a lot more on his site, so check it out.

Banana Art

I found this on Reddit today, Banana Art, it's pretty crazy.

For Sam, because her mother should have been allowed to have an abortion

I kid of course. The following are two articles I read regarding abortion, that I found to be pretty interesting. Have a read.

This one is called "The only moral abortion, is my abortion" and talks about women who rally against abortion clinics, but when they or their daughters get pregnant, they feel that it is ok for them to get one, because their situation is worse then any other girl in the clinic wanting one. Pretty much, in their minds it's ok for them to get one, but not anyone else.

This article is about what punishments should come if abortion was made illegal, and who should get punished. Very interesting.

Anyways, this is probably the most political/moral/worthwhile post I'll ever do. I'll hit you with some internet garbage tomorrow.

Early Morning

I came across Lost America on Digg this morning, and thought it was pretty cool. I think doing something like this would be a fun adventure, but my camera sucks, so I know I won't ever do it.

Maybe I'll post something later today since this was a pretty early find, but I doubt it.

Finally

I JUST finished typing up a deficiency list that I've been stuck working on for the past two weeks, coincidentally I finished it just as I finished listening to that Essential Justice Mix that I have that's about Two hours long. Awesome.

Back to not working and avoiding the logging I have to do by perusing the internet.

Edit: Hells Yeah

Harry Potter

Anybody seen this yet?

Apparently, "Harry Potter is thinly-veiled homosexual propaganda".

I still have yet to read the sixth book, and the seventh is either out already, or very soon, so I gotta get on those. Also I need to see the new movie, and the one that came out before it, because I've yet to see that as well.

In other shittyness, on top of the strep throat, I now also have a giant cold sore on my nose. Not fun.

Hallu

Psst, Rachel's back.

Keep Calm and Carry On

I want this shirt that says "Keep Calm and Carry On". Apparently there is some history behind it even. I just know I like it, and would totally wear it, Maybe it's time for a trip to bang on, to see if they could make it for me.

Today I'm back at work, after missing Monday and Wednesday from being sick (I have strep throat, not fun) and even though the job I have to do today is pretty boring, I'm at least feeling better thenks to amoxicillan. That shit is my new best friend. Even though I was off work adn felt shitty both those days, I got to hang out with Rachel and just screw around, watch some Curb Your Enthusiasm, do some baking, sleep in, nap, all that good stuff. I also got to take my Bike out yesterday, but nearly got caught in the rain, I really need to remember to check the weather before I take it out from now on. Oh well, it's been a good week so far, and it's almost the weekend, which should be even better. I hope to see all of you at some point this weekend. Yes? Yes.

I have high aspirations

Driving home yesterday I thought of something. If I am ever stuck for life working an office job, and I grow to love it, there are a few things I'll need to do.
1. Gain weight to the point that I am 40-50 pounds overweight.
2. Grow a beard, or at the very least a moustache.
3. Have a blue, rusted out, 1994 Toyota Tercel as my means of transportation.
4. Get a personalized License plate for it that says "9254LIFE"

Fun stuff.

I found this show, called Ice Road Truckers, it looks pretty crazy. I guess it's similar to "The Deadliest Catch" simply because its about another dangerous job, but that show was also cool. I need to find out if I have the History Channel because I want to see at least one episode of this. I couldn't do that for a living, sure $1000 a day would be excellent, but I'd be cold 24 hours a day, I'm not down with that.

Monday, July 09, 2007

Faaace. Boook.

Click it to make it bigger, I think.

Filth Hole

Right now I'm listening to the "Essential Justice Mix". Basically it is a two hour long track that was on some BBC Radio thing, and has everything Justice has touched in it. So good. I'm going to have to mp3 burn it for Laura, cause she would dig it probably.

Oh, and Jenn, I need to get some of that Daft Punk Discography off of you somehow. If I knew how to use torrents I would do it myself, but alas, I do not.

Haha

I’ve finally realized what my biggest peeve is. This is not a pet peeve, this peeve owns me. It is my master and I am its slave. I feel like this is the kind of lesson that could change the world. Happiness would abound. It can be summed up in one person.

Laura.

Straight up, I hate her. For serious.

More Remix Talk

This is Jenn, new to our corner of the internet, don't be a dick to her, she's pretty rad. Haha.

I couldn't resist, and searched the Hype Machine for this, and it is making my day right now. This post in particular was an excellent find. Good god I love remixes right now, hopefully I can bust out a cd of all this new shit for my drive home tonight. A track called Overnight Star, a mash up of Sigur Rós and Twista, is definitely going to be the first on the next mix I make. It's just so awesome. Maybe the Lil Mama "Umbrella" remix will make it on there too, I hate the original, and Lil Mama, but the combination is spectacular.

Oh man, last night was my sisters Graduation (congratulations) and Rachel and I decided to get drunk before going to it. We managed to do a decent job of that, and then amazingly timed our appearance about three people early, so that was awesome. The walk home was fun, even though the paths behind my house make no sence and we had to backtrack more then once.

Anyways, work sucks, but I gotta do some of that, later internet.

Remix ReMix Re-Mix

I just found a site called Palms Out Sounds which has a feature called "Remix Sunday's" which is awesome. I've really been digging remixes lately, and they have about ten new ones a week. So cool. I could find a lot more if I felt inspired, but I would probably overdose on them, and end up ruining remixes for myself, so I won't do that.
I'm pretty excited for the weekend, Big party on Friday, small chill times on Saturday, and an Acoustic show Sunday followed by some park hangouts, and probably another small party. Should be excellent, oh, and I plan to use my bike all weekend, partly just because I want to ride it, but also because I want to find out if it can be used as my main weekend vehicle, and I can really only find out by trying. So that may be eventful.
That's really all I've got for you right now Internet.

Do the M.S.T.R.K.R.F.T.

HAHA

That pretty much made me piss my pants.

I just remembered I'll have to go out on site today, see who's all working today, and what they are working on. That'll be a nice way to kill what is left of my afternoon after I do this post. This morning was pretty rough, slept through my alarm again this morning, and when I finally did get to work I only had a few things to do. Oh well. I was exhausted so even if I had had things to do I probably wouldn't have done them.

This weekend I got to see Caspian play again which was fun. We met Courtney Lynn as well, who I was digging, I looked her up on myspace this morning and listened to more of her stuff, and you should too. I also went to the "Classics Against Cancer" car show, which has become a yearly thing, at least over the last few. Dad had his car there, and I ran into Mike who I hadn't seen in ages, that was pretty cool.

Anyways, I just added the link to her myspace, and got distracted and listened to music for a while, so I'm going to head out on site and screw around out there for a bit. OH, and if you want the MSTRKRFT version of D.A.N.C.E. by Justice, check this out, and find it hosted somewhere and you can download it. Good stuff.

Inter-nuts

I don't know if I've posted about this site before, but It's called Ruined Music , and It's all stories written by people who have had certain songs (or even whole bands) ruined by people in their lives. Sowing Season by Brand New was just added yesterday and is a pretty good example, but go through the archives and find more, they are interesting reads. (First Day of My life - Bright Eyes, Details - Frou Frou, Title and Registration - Death Cab For Cutie, Letter From Belgium - The Mountain Goats are a few favourites)

Dudes, check out this Face Research site, you pick what faces you like (they aren't all that attractive, but whatever, pick the ones you hate the least) and then the site compiles them to make you an average decent looking person. It's pretty cool. This is I think six different people in one. Pretty strange (strangley attractive, because this person doesn't exist, it's like X-files or something).

Anyways, I don't know how this will look when I post it because the picture is throwing everything off, but whatever.

This is strange

Man alive, I've been noticing so many things today/yesterday that seem to hit home as of now. I've got to learn to avoid them, or get over it or something.
-"Burn" by Usher.
-To a lesser extent "Not over you yet" by Kevin Devine.
-Going to funeral visitation where the guy just lost his wife.
-Stuck in a car for an hour with my parents while they sit and hold hands.
Damn, I'm sure posts like this will be what the next few consist of, so sorry for that.

Anyways, I just got an email from Chapters, so now my inbox has 1234 unread emails. That is seriously pathetic, I need a new email address, because I can probably safely assume that 1230 of those are junk mails.

Anybody want to hang tonight? The funeral I thought I'd be going to is during the day today, so I didn't take the day off, and now also have tonight free. Big ups to that, but I want to be busy. So yeah, call me or something. Back to work for me, later duders.

(If you havent checked this out yet, seriously go to www.black20.com and watch their web-series "Net_Work")

Monday, June 11, 2007

FUCK

Seriously, Fuck this week.
I've got to many things to do out side of work and not enough time, and at the same time not enough to do at work, and plenty of time that's wasted there. Anyways, as I'm sure whoever reads this already knows, I'm single as of Friday. This weekend I managed to stay busy so I still had a good time, but last night, and today with nothing to do it's hard not to dwell on it. Not looking forward to the rest of the week being like this during the day.
Tonight I've got a funeral visitation to go to.
Tuesday is the actual funeral, I don't know if I'm going to that.
Wednesday I've got some mandatory meeting at night which sucks because I don't want to be around people I work with outside of work.
Thursday I need to get my car serviced.
Friday I guess I have to pick up my bike from Laura's because it is a fucking shit bag and stopped working the day I got it insured.
I feel like I've made no progress on the whole "saving for a house" thing, which sucks. All my money just seems to disappear lately.
All little things I guess in the scheme of things, but I just feel shit on right now. Oh well, hopefully Wasaga happens this weekend because that would make my life, especially if all kinds of people come along.
Anyways, things will get better, and hopefully this "stress ball" mood ends after this week, and goes to a normal good busy or something. Back to not working for me, I could use a smoke "break" anyways.

Day Tripper

I found this article through Digg/Laura yesterday, and thought it was pretty interesting. Maybe you will too.

The Strangest Disaster of the 20th Century

Anyways, I crave Wasaga like nothing else right now. After the adventuring/wandering/exploring of last weekend I just want to do that up in the Wasaga region. So yeah, in a couple weeks we should all hit that up. I figure we can find a day far enough form now that works for everyone, adn also it'll be nicer, adn maybe the water will be warm enough that we can actually go in and experiance it fully. Sound cool? Yes, yes it does. We also gotta do some camping now that the nights should be getting nicer. If we haven't done either by July, then Laura is a failure, because she is the obsessive organizer of the group.

Skeleton Key

I did a sick, sick thing to my love.
My lack of loyalty, it swallowed her up.
And she cooks me food.
She squirmed and turned like a skeleton key.

She left her man unattended to me.
Don't call me that.
Don't claim you love me
cause you know that ain't true.

And you're finally free
to twist and turn like a skeleton key.

You've gotta let me know.
You've gotta let me know.

I did a horrible thing to that girl.
I bread my misery and drowned it in her.
And she got me high,
And I hardly noticed there were tears in her eyes.

And I miss you less and less everyday.
This stream of whisky helps to wash you away.

And it's clear to see,
You're nothing special.
You're a skeleton key.

Dang I love Margot and the Nuclear So and So's. I refound thier cd in my car last week, hiding by the back window along with the Brand New cd, and some others. This is such a good driving cd for me, and I really wish I could post MP3's again, but I am at work, adn that has been blocked. I'd say I'll do it tonight when I get home, but I know I won't. Anyways, look them up, and listen, it's good shit.

brand new, again

Well I wrote your name and burned it
to see the color of the flame,
and it burned out the whole spectrum
as if you were everything.
mine just burned gold,
a normal flame. I am not anything,
and all that I remember
is the feeling of waking up
when we were kids,
you were the sun to which my eyes would not adjust.
when we were kids,
I was a fountain and you could never drink enough.
then came all the boys who swept you away,
you were careless with your heart
and every night there was a new girl
sitting beside me in my car.
something dies when you grow older,
but you do the best you can.
I am glad,
I am glad, you found a good man

This week I found a cd of all the Brand new unreleased tracks I made when they came out way back in January or whatever. Whenever it gets to this track, I get a very strange feeling. I want to stop driving so I can just concentrate on the words. I don't really know why, but I don't mind it, because the cd is so good. I should really pick up thier actual cd, you know, support the artist and all that. Maybe if they come to Toronto for a concert again I'll go to that and get it there. Double-plus awesome.

Anyways, back to work. I want to stay busy so that this day goes by pretty fast, because I really just want to be home, in a shower or bed or something. I kind of missed out on the weekend, but I don't mind because I actually feel accomplished. Big ups to that.

Room temperature coffee is the worst kind of coffee

Hey all, I did this test today because I actually had some time to kill, as opposed to all of my time to kill. I actually feel accomplished for the first time in a while, which is nice.

Mingle2 Free Online Dating - Science Quiz

I've been getting more active which is nice too. Been going for walks and doing the "up's" (push up's, sit up's, chin up's). Last night I went to walk to the bank and a Petro to get more cash and some smokes, I got about halfway and realized I forgot my wallet. Luckily I had some cash, and the nice petro guy didn't ID, usually he does. Then instead of the bank I walked down 8th line and found some path, I thought I was lost, but turns out I just went in a huge circle. Tonight I'm going to walk to walmart or something because I need to find some rubber boots for working this weekend. I don't even know if you can get them there, but it's worth a shot. Anyways, I'm going to get back to the ol' data entry. Fun shit.

Mmm Grapefruit Juice For Breakfast

I remembered one of the things I was going write about yesterday. I wanted to tell y'all that I'm beginning to recognize people on my drives to and from work. The first time I noticed this was on my drive in about a month ago when I saw a woman who I was pretty sure I'd met before, and then a few days later on my way in again she passed me. This was on the 401, not like on my street or something like that where it would make sense. This happened to me again just this past week, I saw this girl (I call her 'Big lips' or 'No jaw' because she has very prominent lips, and a very shallow jaw) anyways, I saw her in her little red Civic on Friday I think, and then again a couple of days ago, Tuesday maybe. It is pretty weird, because those are only the people I've noticed because they had something unique about them. I wonder how many people I've actually seen multiple times, and not even realized. All I know is that I've been paying more attention because of this realization, which is probably both good and bad, because I'm looking around more and am more alert, but I'm also trying to see peoples faces and not worrying so much about where their cars are in relation to mine. Oh well.
Two more things of note.
First, Victoria, I am running low on Jones. Haha. It's so good, and I thank you for that.
Second, I am in love with grapefruit lately. I suggest you all go out, and enjoy some grapefruit juice, maybe mix it with some sherbet, or orange crush. The possibilities are endless really. I'm going to add some Orange vodka to some tonight, see how that works out.

Wednesday, April 25, 2007

I'm thinking that I'd like to buy a laptop. Not that I need another computer, more so that I can put all of my music on it, and play it in the car. After listening to the same CDs for four hours a day, I am really craving some variety in my drive. It's gotten to the point at almost a year to the day of having the job, and only a couple months left, I want to quit because I can't take any more of it. "It" being the drive, and the fact that when I am at work, I really accomplish nothing, because even when I ask for work, nobody has shit for me to do. I've been trying to pawn off my job on Laura, and though she says she'll take it, I haven't seen any real interest. Come on Laura.
I was going to write more, because I thought I had things that I wanted to talk about last night, but I forget them all now. So I will leave you with this thought - Prepare a lunch the night before, because when you wake up late and frustrated, you will not want to make one in the morning. Then when lunchtime does roll around you will be starving, but you will not want to leave to go get lunch, because you were late, and you would rather leave at your normal time, then go for lunch and be forced to stay later because you left to get lunch, even though some of the people you work with got taken out to lunch for reasons unbeknownst to you and will leave at their normal times regardless.

Holy Rant

I just found out that XCopper got me off completely on my ticket, so that is pretty dang awesome. No insurance increase means I will start looking for Motorcycle insurance, which I'm justifying because of the money I will save on gas. I looked back at what my money has been going to in 2007 so far. I've spent over $1500 on gas already, HOLY SHIT. After that I decided to figure out how much my car is actually costing me, and I found out, that about a third of my pay cheque every month, goes to my car to get me to my job. Seriously, I could make a third less if I could walk to work, that is so tempting. Not to mention the free time I would gain. On the weekend Toronto did some lane re-alignment on the Westbound 401, in the same stretch that they had it in last year, except in the left lanes this time. Going by last summer, and yesterdays drive, I can now expect to spend about 4 hours of my day getting to and from work in my car, and then there's the drives to the mechanic, errands, etc. Not only do I now hate driving, but work is shitty as well, people are so damn annoying. When I came in yesterday, Catherine starts telling me all these things I have to do, which normally would be fine, except she only knew because she was copied on emails to me from my boss. Seriously, shut the hell up, and let me go through me emails so I can read what you are telling me right now, if it is in my inbox, I will get to it. Also, her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. That's just a little extra information for you. I have huge beef with coffee drinkers now. People who visit out site will come into my office, AKA 'The Kitchen', and ask me if they can have a cup of coffee. Yes my office is the kitchen, No I don't care if you have some. I am not the coffees keeper, you can take the whole pot if you really want to. UGH, I imagine the rest of my week will be spent looking for a job I can walk to, so that I can never come back here, sell the car, and have my bike as main transportation, if I really need to drive somewhere, like Florida. God I need a vacation.

Kurt Vonnegut

The most important thing I learned on Tralfamadore was that when a person dies he only appears to die. He is still very much alive in the past, so it is very silly for people to cry at his funeral. All moments, past, present and future, always have existed, always will exist. The Tralfamadorians can look at all the different moments just that way we can look at a stretch of the Rocky Mountains, for instance. They can see how permanent all the moments are, and they can look at any moment that interests them. It is just an illusion we have here on Earth that one moment follows another one, like beads on a string, and that once a moment is gone it is gone forever.
Slaughterhouse Five - Kurt Vonnegut

EDIT:

If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph:

THE ONLY PROOF HE NEEDED
FOR THE EXISTENCE OF GOD
WAS MUSIC

Fun Friday Night

So I was expecting to talk to someone at 2:15, but you know, I guess I don't matter haha. Oh well.

My Mom just bummed smokes off of me, I don't think that will ever feel normal for me. I don't mind though, I have been doing a test, for two reasons. First is to see if I can do it, Second to prove a point, though that's probably the wrong reason. On Monday I decided to see if I could quit smoking for a solid week. I pretty much don't smoke during the week, but the weekends are when I hang out with people who do, and I've never tried to not smoke on a weekend. I guess the gods hate me because I decided to try on a long weekend. I actually shouldn't complain, I thought this would be a lot harder, but I really haven't noticed to much. I think the whole "quiting is the hardest thing" is a conspiracy, haha.

I just made myself some meringue cookies because I felt like it, and I have nothing else to do tonight. Those should be good in about an hour. I'm going to get back to watching Red Dragon, I picked it up yesterday, along with Matchstick Men, both very good movies. Well, I've only seen part of Red Dragon, but I was impressed with that part. Anyways, I'm out.

Thursday, March 29, 2007

UGH

I've learned already that I smoke at work because it gives me a decent reason to get five minutes away from people that annoy me, and I smoke in the car because driving gets to be boring as hell after two hours.
That is all.

For Rachel

In case you don't have it on the computer you are using now, here's Hey There Delilah, because you need to have it.

Guess what I learned

How to Embed Videos! Yay for me.

Probably my favourite music video of all time. For serious.

(Ray LaMontagne & Damien Rice - To Love Somebody) Cover of an old BeeGee's song. I've never heard the original, and I don't imagine I'll go out of my way to hear it, this version is awesome enough for me.

(!!! (Chk Chk Chk) - Yadnus) I listened to them the first time, because of their name, but all the times after that have been because of the quality of the music. I love it.

(Electric President - Label My Mind, Blown) I posted a song by these guys last week, and love this one as well, so here you go.

(Jeremy Fisher - Jolene) Check out his music videos on YouTube, they are pretty awesome, especially the one for "Cigarette"

Speaking of cigarettes, I finished my pack last night, and I plan on seeing how long I can go without a smoke. About a month ago I made it five days with out realizing (finished my smokes on a Sunday, bought a pack the following morning, and they sat on my dashboard until friday when I finally opened the pack and had one). So I'm going to try this again, but being aware of it will probably make it harder, oh well. So yeah, my life is very exciting
I hate blogs, I just made up a whole post, and clicked to post, but I couldnt use "!!!" as a label, and therefore lost the whole post. So.. I guess I'll re-do it tomorrow, because I don't care enough right now. I'm going to go watch the video for "what goes around comes around" by Justin Timberlake, later blog people.

quick quick

I've got a few quickies for you while I kill some time before crashing at the office.

(Pink Nasty - Burn) That's right, a cover of usher, and I love it. Nice and slow, haven't heard the original in a while, so I can't really compare them, but good none-the-less.

(Electric President - Good Morning, Hypocrite) Heard this one today, nice and chillin until the end where it picks up beautifully.

(Bloc Party - The Prayer) While I do have a couple remixes for this, the original (or at least album version) is much better then one of them. (The other remix, by Hadouken is right HERE)

(REM Feat. Eddie Vedder - Man On The Moon live) I used to be obsessed with REM, and more recently with Pearl Jam, so this just seems appropriate. There's some video of this being performed live somewhere out there on youtube or something, you should look for it if you like this song.

(Danny Malone - Sweet Annabelle) I have this on one of my mixes for the car, and I pretty much sing it at the top of my lungs when I'm alone. It has a country vibe, but also pop garage band or something.

(Versus The Mirror/ - Birthed By Architecture) Reminds me so much of Underoath (which until now, I didn't know they had a new CD, gotta check that out), but as I was saying to Laura, I don't know if it's a "good" remind or not, hard to tell. It's decent, pretty heavy for my tastes though.

That is definitely enough links and music for me for tonight. I need to do some mindless knitting or something (of course while listening to all of this).
As a side, what I'd intended to be a quick post turned out to probably get the most work put into it out of any post I've done before. That's probably only interesting to me.

birds birds birds

So I stumbled across this song the other day, it is a techno song made entirely from bird calls, BIRD TECHNO!! It's by Dominik Eulberg and he says (in german) what each bird is, and what sound they made in the song (I think, but since I really verify what he's saying, I don't really care).

By the way, this was posted for Laura, and in return I need her to send me the install file for msn, because I tried last night, and failed miserably. So yeah, get on that Laura.

I want to talk to you

My latest obsession has to be Mika. I love his whole "Freddie Mercury" voice, it's glorious.

Mika - Relax Take It Easy - I am in love with this.

Mika - Grace Kelly - This is on the radio, and posted more so you know who I'm talking about.

Mika - Grace Kelly (Pull Tiger Tail Remix) Remix of the above song, which I heard first, and therefore enjoy more. I don't understand how that works, but it seems that's how things work with me.

Check out his Myspace for more songs.

Rock, Chill, Not Serious and The Format

The files below were primarily for Rachel to listen to, since when she asked me to do this she had no music on her computer, but I'm slow and she has some now. I figured I may as well post these anyway, so feel free to download them for your own listening pleasure. I put them into four sections for easier downloading, plus if you only want one section you can do that. There's "rock" which is about as rock-esque as I go, other then radio. There's "chill" which is kind of backgroundy stuff, but very good. Then "not serious" which has clips from comedians and wierd songs. Gay Marriage and Cyborg Love

(found in the vast internets)
10 reasons Gay Marriage is wrong:

1. Being gay is not natural. And as you know Americans have always rejected unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because, as you know, a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4. Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed. The sanctity of Britany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6. Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7. Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9. Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

windows media player

Anybody tried the new media player version 11? Who agrees that while it may look fancy, sleek, hip, whatever else, it is essientially still the same shit as version 10? I may be an idiot, and just not be able to find the "all music" section, but it should be easier to find. I pretty much always leave itunes, media player, those type things playing my whole library on random because theres no way I could normally listen to every single song I have.

Alright, so I can play my whole library I think, but it is a lot harder then it needs to be, and when I go to "now playing" there is absolutely no information about the song aside from title and length. It's the same with the mini player/skins. UGH. At least the little toolbar version hasn't changed much. It also annoying when I do have it on random adn it switches to a different song, but doesn't bring the screen to the song, so I have to search for what track is playing. I hate computers. Oh well, as long as I get to keep version 9 on my home computer, and never upgrade, I'm happy. This is probably the most computer/techy post I've made to date. I should dumb it up with some music or links or something.

I found a few songs on my computer by a band called Camden, I'm in love with their song Mike, Who Is Diary?, so good. Also listen to their songs Bread: Side A and Darling, Applaud. To be completely honest, I haven't gotten past "Mike, Who Is Diary" and onto these two songs before, but I am doing that as I put this up.

As for my plans of an Alkaline Trio history, my computer at home (with all of that music on it) has been moved to my basement and unfunctional for the unforseeable future which sucks huge, since literally all of my music is on it. I've been watching more TV lately because of this and realized that TV, while midly entertaining, is mostly crap and I'll only watch it since I have nothing better to do. Though I did manage to crochet about two feet onto a scarf I'm making for myself while watching Iron Chef America.
